If you are interested in income-producing securities, this tutorial will likely be helpful for you. Tailor your investment strategy to focus on income, filter for dividend-centric options, and better track your dividend earnings.

By leveraging these four dividend-focused features, you can fine-tune your PortfolioPilot experience to cater to your income-generation goals, ensuring that your investment strategy is aligned with your financial objectives. Each of the features is described below, and note that you can use them altogether or independently.

1. Set Your Investment Objective to "Maximize Income"

Target dividend-rich investments by aligning your objectives with your income goals.

• Navigate to Settings and select Preferences.
• Under the Investment Profile header, change your Primary investment objective to "Maximize income".
• The Recommendation Engine will adapt, showcasing more dividend-producing recommendations tailored to your new objective.

Note: recommendations only available in Gold and Platinum tiers

2. Filter for Dividend-Only Recommendations

Focus on investments that align with your income-centric strategy.

• Go to the Recommendations page.
• Select Top Recommendations.
• Inside More Filters, apply the dividend-only filter to narrow down your options to exclusively dividend-paying securities.

3. Explore Dividend Details in Security Explorer

Delve into dividend specifics of each security for informed decision-making.

• Use the Security Explorer or Screeners to investigate dividend information by searching for the specific security (10,000s of stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds available).
• Scroll down to the “Financial profile” and “Upcoming events” sections for insights into dividend yield and payout dates for the selected security.

Extra tip: these dividend information (and other security details) can also be found by asking the AI Assistant directly

4. View Dividend Income for Your Portfolio

Get an aggregated view of your dividend earnings, or broken down individually per security.

• Visit the Details page.
• See your total dividend income aggregated at the top of the page.
• Click on the row corresponding to each individual security to open up the Details slide-over, where you can see the % dividend yield for the given security.
